En 2002, elle recevait le Prix de la Presse aux Grands Prix du tourisme de la Montérégie et en 2007, le Prix du Meilleur Article canadien en tourisme familial remis par TMAC (association des journalistes en tourisme canadien). Elle fut également lune des six finalistes aux Grands Prix canadiens Antor 2008 pour le Prix du Meilleur Article en tourisme international. Elle reçut également quelques prix du temps où elle était rédactrice publicitaire et réalisatrice. En 1983, elle publiait le recueil de nouvelles À fleur de peau, à fleur de coeur à La Maison des Mots. En 2005, le récit LAbsent aux Éditions JCL. En 2007, le roman Caramel mou aux Éditions Guy Saint-Jean. Ce dernier roman sera adapté au cinéma par Marc-André Lavoie, coréalisateur du film québécois Bluff.

He has authored over 105 scientific publications and a book on biofilms with Professor Zbigniew Lewandowski entitled Fundamentals of Biofilm Research. In 2007 and 2010, he received 3M non-tenured faculty award and National Science Foundation CAREER award to study electrochemically active biofilms, respectively. Jerome T. Babauta , PhD,an expert in biofilm electrochemistry and the integration of tools to study biofilms with electrochemical methods. He has combined tools such as microsensors, quartz crystal microbalances, and rotating electrodes with traditional electrochemical methods to develop new ways to study electrochemically active biofilms.Currently, his primary interest is to understand the fundamentals of biofilm impedance for electrochemically active biofilms operating in a wide range of research topics including bioelectrochemical systems, metal corrosion, and biofilm control
